ServiceNow and Pearson used machine learning and economic analysis to model labor market shifts. Our analysis maps the changing relationship between people and AI in the workplace and predicts how AI will change the mix of skills required for people and organizations to thrive.
Most economies we studied will need additional workers to support projected growth over the next five years. This labor gap will be only partially offset by AI-powered automation and augmentation. In the U.S. alone, we forecast net workforce growth of 3.06 million workers after factoring in economic growth, jobs added to support digital transformation, and jobs displaced by digital transformation.
