Klick Health Surprises 1,600 People with Life-Changing Surgeries in Kenya

KlickHealth ManyHands Surgery Connection

Klick Health, the world’s largest independent commercialization partner for life sciences, has announced a deeply meaningful partnership. Over 15 years after first helping to build Baraka Hospital in rural Kenya, the company returned. This time, they partnered with the hospital to provide access to 1,600 life-changing surgeries in Kenya for people across the Mara region. This‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ collaboration is the main point of the company’s holiday video titled ‘Many Hands’, which is a celebration of the power of the community.

The operations were offered as the gift in the name of the 1,600 employees of Klick Health. To see the change and get the experience themselves, the firm also dispatched a team of 24 people to the area. These operations are intended to give back to those community members who will see their sight or mobility restored and whose overall quality of life will be elevated, and they are the ones who quite often face great difficulties in getting access to highly specialized ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌healthcare.

The Impact on the Community

The need for these services was immense. Carol Moraa, Kenya Program Director at Baraka Hospital, highlighted the significance of the initiative:

“When we announced that we would be offering free surgeries, we got thousands of requests. We‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ have many people who require major surgical operations, but because of lack of money, they have not been able to get the surgeries that would help them. A number of those people will have their burdens lifted, which they have been carrying for so many years, because we are going to make it possible for ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌them.”

Klick’s Co-Founder and Chairman, Leerom Segal, emphasized the long-term commitment:

“What started with the construction of Baraka Hospital in 2010 has grown into one of the most meaningful partnerships in our company’s history. We see how community-led solutions can create lasting impact, and we have deep gratitude to the hospital, medical teams, and community that have welcomed and taught us so much.”

Klick has a longstanding history with Baraka Hospital, supporting the expansion of surgical wards and maternal health programs, and extending essential care to thousands of families. The hospital, now a Level 4 facility, has treated over 283,000 patients and safely delivered more than 7,200 babies.

The ‘Many Hands’ video is available on YouTube. For every view, Klick will donate $1 to Baraka Hospital (up to $10,000), encouraging viewers to contribute to the ongoing support for life-changing surgeries in Kenya.
