Precision IO Group will be presenting new features for its Epione robotic platform at CIRSE 2026. The event takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark, September 5–9. Precision IO, the parent company of NeuWave Medical and Quantum Surgical will be exhibiting in Booth D39. The updated Epione robot platform will also feature new AI capabilities. It will also be compatible with one of the latest angiography systems from GE HealthCare. This will allow physicians to move more during procedures.
The Epione robotic platform provides AI and robotic assistance for percutaneous ablation. It also includes all the phases in the process i.e. planning, targeting, delivering and confirming. Physicians use this platform to treat abdominal, thorax and musculoskeletal tumors. It is also used by doctors for processes of bone consolidation.

New AI and Imaging Capabilities Debut at CIRSE 2026
At CIRSE, Precision IO will introduce two new capabilities. First, Smart Seg AI uses deep-learning algorithms for tumor segmentation. This software tool trains on thousands of CT scan images. Consequently, it optimizes liver tumor segmentation for physicians.
Second, the Epione robotic platform now works with the Allia™ Moveo3 INTERACT Touch panel. GE HealthCare developed this panel in collaboration with Precision IO. Together, these companies created a seamless experience for physicians. The integrated solution combines high-quality 3D imaging with treatment-planning tools. Also, it includes robotic needle guidance for precise placement. Therefore, physicians can achieve accurate target visualization during complex procedures.
Interactive Demos & Expert Sessions Innovation at a glance
Precision IO will be at GE HealthCare Booth D40 for hands-on sessions. These sessions will be on Sunday, September 6, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A similar session will be held Monday, Sept. 7, at the same time. These demonstrations give attendees a chance to see the Epione robotic platform in action.
In addition, Yann Le Meur, PhD will speak in the SPHAIRE Lecture series. He is Innovation and Technology Director at Quantum Surgical. He is scheduled to appear from 10:00 to 11:00 on Tuesday, September 8. Le Meur will deliver “Robotics in Interventional Oncology: The Value of Collaborative Controls.” This presentation belongs to the session SPH 428: Robotics and Human Machine Interaction. Finally, his presentation will look at the future of interventional oncology through the lens of robotics. It will also examine human-machine collaboration in this emerging field.
