Dassault Systèmes has signed an agreement to acquire ArisGlobal, creating an advanced AI intelligence platform for the Life Sciences industry. The acquisition aims to connect molecule research, patient insights, and real-world outcomes.
The combination brings together Dassault Systèmes’ strengths in research, development, manufacturing, and quality with ArisGlobal’s AI-native compliance platform. Thus, the two firms will create an intelligent solution for Life Sciences organizations. According to the terms of the deal, the French software company will acquire ArisGlobal for about $1.8 billion in cash. The deal also entails $200 million of contingent value that is tied to AI-related revenues.
Pascal Daloz, Dassault Systèmes’ Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, commented: “Today marks a major milestone in our ambition to transform the Life Sciences industry by connecting molecule, patient and real-world outcomes. Life Sciences is entering a new era of innovation – driven by artificial intelligence and the shift to precision medicine – while facing increasing operational complexity and regulatory scrutiny. Our vision to virtualize the industry has never been more relevant. By bringing together real-world evidence with our unique modeling and simulation expertise, this unified data and intelligence platform radically improves our ability to address persistent drug development challenges, allowing our customers to deliver safer, innovative therapies at a faster pace. We are excited to welcome ArisGlobal’s exceptional leadership team and talented people to the Dassault Systèmes family.”
AI-Powered Platform Aims to Transform Drug Development Processes
ArisGlobal is currently catering to over 200 organizations around the globe. Half of the top 50 biopharmaceutical organizations use the ArisGlobal platform. The platform also caters to other entities such as biotech companies, med-tech companies, CROs, and health authorities. ArisGlobal’s regulated platform manages critical processes, including patient safety, medical affairs, regulatory submissions, and quality management across life sciences organizations.
This acquisition is beneficial for the strategy of Dassault Systèmes to provide clinically-validated AI solutions on a large scale. It also enables the company to further pursue its vision in terms of industrial AI with the help of 3D UNIV+RSES platform. The NavaX AI platform of ArisGlobal allows businesses to deploy AI solutions in a regulated setting.
Aman Wasan, Chief Executive Officer of ArisGlobal, commented: “Life Sciences is approaching a fundamental inflection point. The future of Life Sciences will not be built on better software it will be built on connected intelligence. For decades, Life Sciences organizations have operated across fragmented systems and disconnected data environments spanning research, development and regulated operations. By joining Dassault Systèmes, we are taking a major step forward in our vision to offer Life Sciences customers an integrated and comprehensive AI-first intelligence platform unifying fragmented datasets and ultimately delivering better health outcomes for patients at an accelerated pace. Dassault Systèmes is a science-based AI leader focused on transforming the Life Sciences industry globally. Its virtual twin, modeling and simulation capabilities, combined with ArisGlobal’s technology platform and AI capabilities, as part of NavaX and XDI, create a strong foundation that is unmatched. Together, we will help customers accelerate innovation, simplify complexity and continuously learn from every stage of the therapy lifecycle ultimately delivering better outcomes for patients. I am personally thrilled to be joining the Dassault Systèmes organization and I look forward to executing on this ambitious vision.”
In conjunction, both firms will be forming an evidence continuum. This continuum will assist the Life Sciences entities in deriving trusted insights. Apart from that, this will ensure faster innovations and safer therapies development. This acquisition is anticipated to result in revenue generation opportunities as well as growth. The company expects the transaction to support revenue growth and earnings expansion during the first year after completion.
