Dexcom has become the first company selected for the FDA’s Digital Health Technology TEMPO Pilot Program. The initiative focuses on improving chronic disease management through innovative digital health solutions.
The FDA’s Technology-Enabled Meaningful Patient Outcomes (TEMPO) Pilot Program evaluates advanced technologies while generating real-world evidence. Through this participation, Dexcom will develop an AI-powered glucose health program.
In this regard, the program incorporates information on Dexcom G7, Stelo, and lifestyle factors. The latter include diet, exercise, sleep, and stress. Consequently, both healthcare providers and users who qualify for the program gain personalized insights on their health. Moreover, the program utilizes the clinical software suite of Dexcom. It gives healthcare providers a more comprehensive view of metabolic health.
TEMPO Pilot Supports Future Digital Health Innovation
In addition to this, the program will also provide screening opportunities for prediabetes and Type 2 diabetes.
