Firstsource Recognized as a Leader by Everest Group and NelsonHall in 2026 Healthcare Payer Assessments

Firstsource Named a Leader by Everest Group and NelsonHall

Firstsource Solutions Limited recently earned top honors from two major global research firms. Everest Group and NelsonHall recognized the company as a ‘Leader’ in their 2026 ‘Healthcare Payer’ reports. More particularly, this recognition comes in the form of the Everest Group’s ‘Healthcare Payer Intelligent Operations PEAK Matrix Assessment 2026’ and the ‘Overall Market Segment’ of the ‘Healthcare Payer Agility & Innovation NEAT Evaluation 2026’ by NelsonHall. These recognitions demonstrate Firstsource’s platform-based, AI-driven approach to modernizing today’s health plan operations.

Everest Group evaluated 33 global providers for its Intelligent Operations PEAK Matrix Assessment. Firstsource was one of only nine companies to reach Leader status. Analysts noted the company’s double-digit revenue growth and its specialized “Medicare in a Box” and “Medicaid in a Box” offerings. These solutions help any Healthcare Payer manage complex back-office tasks with greater efficiency.

Platform-Led Innovation and AI Success

The company’s success stems from its relAI platform and UnBPO approach. These tools move artificial intelligence from experimental pilots into full-scale production. NelsonHall highlighted that these AI-generated feedback loops have reduced manual effort by approximately 70%.

“We’ve moved from traditional outsourcing to a platform-led model where AI is embedded into production, not sitting in pilots,” said Matthew Barlow, Head of Health Plan and Healthcare Services at Firstsource. “Through our UnBPO approach and relAI platform, clients are seeing real operational impact. Being recognized as a Leader reflects progress toward outcome-led, AI-first operations.”

Modern health plans currently face high cost pressures and strict regulatory standards. Firstsource addresses these challenges by focusing on measurable metrics like faster cycle times and lower leakage.

“Health plans are increasingly demanding transformation that shows up in the metrics, lower leakage, faster cycle times, and stronger engagement outcomes, without adding further operational complexity. This is driving a market shift toward platform-led, orchestrated models that move generative and agentic AI from pilot initiatives into scaled production,” said Vivek Kumar, Practice Director, Everest Group.

“Firstsource was identified as a Leader for its transition towards an AI-first framework,” said Bilal Chaudhry, Principal Analyst at NelsonHall. “Its continued investments in scalable, production-ready automation include embedded co-pilots and agentic AI workflows.”

Firstsource continues to operate as a global intelligence partner across many regulated industries. Its current model underwrites financial and clinical outcomes rather than just labor effort.
