Medimaps Group and Radiobotics Announce Strategic Merger to Strengthen AI-Powered Musculoskeletal Imaging Portfolio

Peter Ulvskjold from Radiobotics and Didier Hans from Medimaps Group

Medimaps Group and Radiobotics recently agreed to merge in a strategic way. The goal of this partnership is to improve AI medical imaging for musculoskeletal health. The deal is now waiting for approval from the Danish government for foreign direct investment. Both companies want to bring their specialized software together under a single vision.

The new company will offer a full range of tools for both X-ray and DXA modalities. Automated fracture detection and bone fragility assessments are two of the solutions. As a result, the group will work with hospitals and clinics in 90 different countries. The Medimaps Group is known for its bone microarchitecture solutions. Specifically, TBS Osteo and TBS Reveal work directly with current radiology workflows. At the same time, Radiobotics adds its most important product, RBfracture, to its line of products.

This ecosystem fills the gap between preventive care and acute diagnostics. So, every X-ray is a great way to predict long-term risk. To make sure things keep going smoothly, the leadership team includes experts from both groups.

“This merger represents a pivotal milestone in Medimaps Group’s long-term strategy to strengthen our leadership in bone health assessment,” said Univ.-Prof. Dr. Didier Hans, Co-founder and CEO of Medimaps Group. “Our ambition is to give radiologists a single, trusted platform that brings together fracture detection and fracture risk prediction across the continuum of care, so clinicians can make better decisions, patients receive better outcomes, and healthcare systems benefit from more efficient, evidence-based care.”

“Radiobotics has always been driven by scientific rigor and real-world clinical impact,” says Peter Ulvskjold, CEO of Radiobotics and member of the Medimaps Group Executive Committee. “Joining Medimaps Group will accelerate access to our technology. It’s an important step in our vision to ensure patients receive immediate and precise, expert-level care in MSK imaging, 24/7, regardless of time, infrastructure, or staffing constraints.”

Lastly, the merger deals with the rising costs of fractures and osteoporosis. These conditions put a lot of financial strain on modern healthcare systems. This new partnership takes a proactive approach to keeping bones healthy around the world.
