USS Carney Adopts T6 Health Systems’ OpMed CDP to Boost Naval Medical Modernization

The U.S. Navy has taken a major step in modernizing maritime healthcare with the launch of T6 Health Systems’ OpMed Care Delivery Platform (CDP) aboard the USS Carney (DDG 64). The early deployment strengthens fleet readiness and supports the Navy’s shift toward next-generation medical technology.

OpMed CDP replaces an older electronic health record system with an agile, data-driven solution designed for real-time medical operations in both routine and contested maritime conditions. As one of the first ships to implement the platform, Carney will help shape OpMed CDP’s development through firsthand feedback from medical and operational teams, guiding its fleet-wide rollout.

The new system offers a comprehensive view of medical operations by integrating clinical data, simplifying documentation, and enhancing decision-making. These upgrades are expected to improve continuity of care and operational efficiency during missions at sea.

Igor Muravyov, Chief Operating Officer at T6 Health Systems, emphasized the significance of the deployment, stating that sailors deserve medical tools built for the world’s toughest environments. He highlighted the initiative as part of the Department of War’s broader goal to strengthen shipboard medicine and ensure warfighters have the most advanced technologies available.

T6 Health Systems’ recent momentum extends beyond the Carney. The company’s OpMed platform has also gone live at the White House, Brooke Army Medical Center, and Al Dhafra Air Base. In addition, T6 recently secured a multi-year agreement with the Defense Health Agency and PEO DHMS to further expand its cloud-based, secure medical solutions across the Military Health System.
