WHOOP Expands Its Health Platform With On-Demand Clinician Support and New AI Capabilities

WHOOP is taking a big step forward by launching On-Demand Clinician Support. Instead of just looking at charts on your own, you’ll soon be able to talk directly with licensed healthcare professionals right through the app. This feature is set to arrive in the U.S. this summer. It is designed to close the gap between simply collecting health data and actually understanding what it means for your body.

When you jump on a call, you won’t have to start from scratch. These consultations begin with a comprehensive understanding of your health, powered by months of continuous biometric data and, when available, bloodwork and medical history. To make things even more seamless, WHOOP is partnering with HealthEx to support Electronic Health Record (EHR) syncing. This means your clinical history, including diagnoses, medications, and procedures, can be securely accessed within the app to give a fuller picture of your health.

“WHOOP is a membership, and we take that seriously. We’re always asking how we can deliver more value to our members, and these upcoming features are some of the most meaningful we’ve ever built, from bringing clinician support directly into the app to advancing our AI coaching to be more personal and actionable than ever,” said Ed Baker, chief product officer of Whoop.

The company is prioritizing “live, on-demand video consultations” to help users understand their health. The feature is not intended to replace primary doctors or emergency services.

Advanced AI Coaching and Biometric Insights

The update also includes the launch of two meaningful AI advancements. These features include “My Memory” and “Proactive Check-Ins” to provide personalized coaching. The AI analyzes long-term trends to identify potential performance gains. The AI works alongside On-Demand Clinician Support to offer a full spectrum of care.

WHOOP is entering the clinical health space with the introduction of live, on-demand video consultations with a licensed clinician. The WHOOP Journal has also been redesigned to fit naturally into how members track habits. Members can now log behaviors, supplements, and life events by voice or text. These new features are rolling out to all WHOOP members this summer.
