Prime Healthcare’s hospitals have been recognized. For the Healthgrades 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award™, which identifies them among the best for patient safety in the United States. A total of 16 Prime Healthcare hospitals have received this prestigious award. Ten of them have made it to the top 5% for patient safety. What is particularly impressive is that La Palma Intercommunity Hospital. Sherman Oaks Hospital have won this prestigious award for the 13th consecutive year. Prime Healthcare also leads the state of California for the past two years in the number of patient safety awards.

Strong Foundation in Patient Safety and Outcomes
Of these eight hospitals, there are eight hospitals that are part of the Prime Healthcare Foundation. Which is a nonprofit public charity. According to Dr. Kavitha Bhatia, President and Chair of the Foundation, “The Healthgrades evaluation of risk-adjusted complication. Mortality rates among approximately 4,500 U.S. hospitals found that patients were treated. Healthgrades Award-winning hospitals have significantly lower rates of falls, infections, and pressure injuries compared to non-award-winning hospitals.”
