Hippocratic AI climate response agents are now available to help healthcare organizations manage rising health risks from extreme weather. The company announced the expanded availability of its rapid-response voice AI agents for health systems and payers.
The launch is preceded by rising health risks associated with climate change. The Fourth of July holiday weekend saw unprecedented high temperatures that impacted more than 200 million Americans. Moreover, the recurrence of heat waves in Europe has raised health worries.
Hippocratic AI created these agents in order to help vulnerable individuals cope with weather conditions such as heat, cold, & smoke, among others. The solution is based on the success of the programs offered by EmblemHealth and other health organizations. In the last heat wave, for example, EmblemHealth used the voice AI agent named Rachel powered by Hippocratic AI. The agent managed to reach more than 16,000 members in just 24 hours.

AI-Powered Climate Agents Improve Emergency Healthcare Response
Moreover, Rachel got a score of 9.02 out of 10 for member satisfaction. The agent carried out the clinical assessment for heat stroke and directed the vulnerable people to the nearest cooling center. Also, urgent health issues were identified. Since its launch, the organization has expanded the program considerably. Over 50,000 outreach calls related to heat have been made by the organization. Another 15,000 outreach calls for cooling benefits have also been made.
Additionally, the program has recently assisted members who were impacted by bad air quality due to Canadian wildfires in New York City. This program has been instrumental in preparing vulnerable individuals for any environmental health hazards. The company’s agents handle the climate response function on a generative voice AI platform, which is meant for clinical engagements.
