Priority Health Teams Up with Kivo Health to Expand AI-Based Virtual COPD Care Across Michigan

Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving over 1.3 million members, has joined hands with Kivo Health, a leading provider of AI-driven pulmonary rehabilitation, to enhance virtual COPD care access across Michigan.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which impacts more than 600,000 Michiganders, remains one of the top causes of hospital admissions and rising healthcare costs nationwide. Through this partnership, Priority Health’s Medicare, Medicaid, and HIDE-SNP members can now access at-home virtual programs designed to manage symptoms, enhance quality of life, and prevent unnecessary hospital visits.

“Our goal at Priority Health is to ensure members receive care whenever and wherever they need it,” said Nick Gates, President of Priority Health. “Partnering with Kivo Health helps us empower members to manage their condition comfortably from home, reflecting our continued commitment to improving outcomes for people with chronic illnesses.”

Through Kivo Health’s advanced virtual care program, members will benefit from individualized treatment plans, real-time monitoring, and live coaching. This approach encourages active engagement and consistent disease management without frequent in-person appointments.

“This collaboration demonstrates how innovative care models can complement traditional healthcare to widen access,” said Dr. Victor Sadauskas, CEO of Kivo Health. “Together with Priority Health, we’re ensuring that people living with COPD receive continuous, convenient support.”
