RingCentral Launches AIR Pro for Healthcare, an Agentic Voice AI Platform to Automate Patient Access and Care Coordination

RingCentral Launches AIR Pro for Healthcare

RingCentral just released AIR Pro for Healthcare. This Healthcare AI Platform automates workflows for a lot of patients. The system also lets you send voice, SMS, and video messages. It focuses on the increasing administrative burdens on healthcare providers. The platform works with more than 80 electronic health record systems right away. For example, it works with Epic and Oracle Health. So, AI agents can check insurance and make appointments in real time.

Advanced automation and integration of electronic health records

These agents handle everyday tasks like taking in patients and answering billing questions. So, medical staff can spend more time on direct patient care. Also, pre-made templates make it easy to set up quickly in different medical facilities.

“Healthcare organizations manage millions of patient interactions every year, yet too much of that time is spent on scheduling, verification, and administrative coordination instead of patient care,” said Carson Hostetter, EVP & General Manager, AI and CX Solutions at RingCentral. AIR Pro for Healthcare acts as an intelligent digital front door – handling calls, verifying coverage, scheduling appointments, updating records, and coordinating care seamlessly across channels. By automating routine interactions securely and reliably, it frees staff to focus on delivering more connected, human-centered care.”

People who were early adopters say that responsiveness has already improved a lot. PM Pediatrics uses the technology to get patients more involved in their care.

“Our experience with RingCentral’s AI portfolio has already helped us expand capacity and improve responsiveness across our locations,” said Paul Knight, Chief Information Officer at PM Pediatrics, a U.S.-based pediatric urgent care provider with 80 locations. “We’ve seen a measurable impact in how we manage patient calls and engagement. With AIR Pro, we see the opportunity to extend that intelligence further – automating more of the patient journey and augmenting our teams so they can focus on delivering care.”

Lastly, the architecture is still fully HIPAA-compliant for safe data handling. According to research, using AI makes patients’ experiences 78% better.

“Healthcare is one of the most complex and highly regulated industries, so AI that addresses these issues is in demand,” said Robin Gareiss, CEO & Principal Analyst at Metrigy Research. “When healthcare companies use AI, they see a 78% improvement in patient experience. When they use agentic workflow automation, 76% say they see improvements in problem resolution. Achieving these results requires deep integration with clinical systems, coupled with strong governance. By combining 80+ EHR integrations with pre-built, healthcare-specific skills, RingCentral is lowering the barrier to adoption of agentic AI, as healthcare CX leaders want to work with providers that understand their unique issues.”

RingCentral is currently showing off this new idea at the HIMSS event in Las Vegas.
