Sectra’s First U.S. Cloud Migration: Emory Healthcare Enhances Scalability and Security With Sectra One Cloud

Sectra's first US cloud migration

Cloud migration among healthcare providers remains popular in the healthcare industry. In this connection, Emory Healthcare has migrated to Sectra One Cloud. With this, the organization becomes the first client in the U.S. to undergo a cloud migration process at Sectra.

Sectra, an international developer of medical imaging IT and cybersecurity solutions, has successfully completed the migration of its enterprise imaging platform from on-premise solutions to fully managed cloud solutions.

Emory Healthcare is part of Emory University. At the same time, it is one of the largest healthcare organizations in Georgia. Emory Healthcare consists of 11 hospitals, the Emory Clinic, and over 250 provider locations.

In collaboration with Sectra, the health organization began implementing the health solutions from 2021. Now, the health organization will be using Sectra One Cloud, which is consistently monitored, optimized, and upgraded by Sectra. Besides, all management of infrastructure, maintenance, and system upgrade will be managed by Sectra. Hence, local IT staff can prioritize important tasks rather than handling maintenance activities.

“We are proud to support Emory Healthcare as they take this important step into the cloud. Their trust in Sectra and our technology is a testament to our shared commitment to secure, reliable, and future-proof imaging solutions. By moving to Sectra One Cloud, Emory is setting a new standard for operational efficiency and patient care in the region,” says Isaac Zaworski, President of Sectra Inc.

The implementation will be based on a five-year Sectra One Cloud agreement made during Sectra’s fiscal year 2024/2025. This agreement encompasses an imaging examination workload of more than 1.3 million examinations per year.

Further, Sectra’s enterprise imaging solution enables a cohesive imaging strategy. The technology helps reduce costs and supports cloud adoption projects in the healthcare sector. It is flexible enough to allow healthcare organizations to grow across departments and enterprises.
