JCR Pharmaceuticals has received marketing authorization for IZCARGO therapy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The approval marks the first authorization for IZCARGO™ outside Japan.
JCR Pharmaceuticals developed IZCARGO™ to treat Hunter syndrome, a genetic condition. The enzyme replacement therapy crosses the blood-brain barrier. The medicine employs J-Brain Cargo®, an advanced technology platform owned by JCR. Prior to the recent FDA approval, it has already been approved and launched in Japan back in 2021.

This is inclusive of the acquisition of marketing authorization of IZCARGO™ in select MENA countries.
